best way to add a reference to an entire table?[edit]

Hello! What is the best way to add a source for data that is arranged in a table? As, I have a singular source for all of the data in the table, so I'm not gonna add the same source to each cell/row. (The specific cases I've been stuck on is for result/medal tables in sport competitions.) I know sometimes you can add a caption/header to the table and add your citation to that, but that's not always possible. I've sometimes seen tables that add Source: <ref>[the citation]</ref> below it, but that feels a bit improvised. TheZoodles (talk) 13:11, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@TheZoodles: Add it to the table's caption. All tables should have one (MOS:TABLECAPTION). Bazza (talk) 13:39, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Bazza that alright to do if it results in redundancy? Like if the section header is "Medals" and then you name the table header also "Medals"? TheZoodles (talk) 15:59, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@TheZoodles: Yes, but "Medals" strikes me as a not very informative caption. MOS:TABLECAPTION gives some background and guidelines. For your example, is it a simple list of medals, or does it include names of people who won them? Another example: the finals table at 2023 World Para Swimming Championships – Men's 150 metre individual medley § SM4 could be captioned just "Finals", but "Results of the SM4 finals on 1 August 2023" would be much more informative. Bazza (talk) 16:28, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Bazza oh, I hadn't considered it like that. Thank you for clarifying! TheZoodles (talk) 08:59, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    Colour changes in edit history[edit]

Is it just me or have the colours changed when checking diffs? Now they are blue and yellow. It's confusing me. :/ AussieWikiDan (talk) 14:26, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

AussieWikiDan have you switched from desktop view (no colours) to mobile view (blue and yellow)? TSventon (talk) 14:32, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
No I haven't changed anything (unless by accident). It used to be red for deleted text. AussieWikiDan (talk) 14:35, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Try clicking on this diff and switching between mobile and desktop by clicking on mobile view and desktop at the bottom of the page. TSventon (talk) 14:44, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks for your advice. It still keeps the colours the same. I'm not sure what I've done lol AussieWikiDan (talk) 00:16, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    Are blogs by professionals okay?[edit]

So I found a source for a song genre, Pump it Up by Elvis Costello, says the song is punk and rock and roll. But I was wondering if the website Produce like a Pro is reliable? Iamthegoat524 (talk) 15:05, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

WP:BLOGS says Self-published expert sources may be considered reliable when produced by an established subject-matter expert, whose work in the relevant field has previously been published by reliable, independent publications.
Genre ascriptions for music are often contentious, so I advise discussing it first anyway. ColinFine (talk) 15:30, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
(edit conflict) Iamthegoat524 - it would help if you can provide a link to the actual statement, rather than an out of context question.
Although blogs are generally considered unreliable (especially those edited by multiple people, with no editorial control), Warren Huart is a respected professional, and, although he calls his website a blog, he appears to control and edit the output. Produce like a Pro has never been discussed at the WP:Reliable sources noticeboard, but it is already cited in 25 wikipedia articles [1].
Genres are only ever opinions, and cannot be dis/proven, but his is a professional opinion, so it is similar to a music journalist offering their opinion in a music magazine. However, I would like to see the actual comment, in context, before being more definite. - Arjayay (talk) 15:38, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
    here's the link -------> https://producelikeapro.com/blog/pump-it-up-elvis-costello/ Iamthegoat524 (talk) 16:05, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Iamthegoat524 - I can't see that that article describes it as punk anywhere - we have "with its punk-attitude mixed with ironic humor and a cleaner, more-polished sound." and "the song’s punk-energy and sound. However, unlike the pulsing bass lines usually found in punk, Bruce Thomas’ bass line carries an infectious groove. Likewise, the organ part also separates the song from being “strictly” punk." and "Its punk guitar and drum sound – combined with a grooving bass line, organ, and wit –" None of these say it is punk, they all say it isn't punk, because of the humor, cleaner more polished sound, no pulsing bass line, etc. which differentiate it friom punk. - Arjayay (talk) 16:33, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
    What about rock and roll? Iamthegoat524 (talk) 00:40, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    Stalking[edit]

    Hello,

Can I report an user for stalking?

This person has been systematically interacting with me, without being invited or saying anything productive, just to intimidate me. I said they should find something better to do, and they answered "Have no fear, I have plenty of time to keep an eye on you even while doing many other things", which is a creepy behavior. JoaquimCebuano (talk) 15:15, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

I think you messed up the link (missing a 0 at the end), unless this has to do with IP edits to a Naruto-related article in 2007. Special:Diff/1203994970/1204081980 should work properly. ayakanaa ( t · c ) 15:34, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@JoaquimCebuano, you're free to take anyone you like to WP:ANI, including an admin like UtherSRG, as long as you're sure you can build a convincing case against them - but I wouldn't recommend it. Keeping an eye on folks editing in contentious topic areas, especially when they've been skirting the rules, is generally within an admin's remit. 57.140.16.1 (talk) 15:43, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    Making my Article Live[edit]

    Hi there,

I have had my account for more than 4 days, and have made 10 successful edits. I am unable to make the article I have in sandbox live. Can you please advise on how I can do so? Aishap (talk) 18:30, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Aishap You seem to have submitted this draft for review just after you posted here. It is now awaiting comments from experienced reviewers, which can take a few days (or longer, sometimes). Mike Turnbull (talk) 18:39, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

It doesn't look to me as if you have enough reliable, independent sources to establish that the series meets Wikipedia's criteria for notability. Wikipedia is not interested in what the subject of an article says or wants to say about themselves, or what their associates say about them. Wikipedia is only interested in what people who have no connection with the subject, and who have not been prompted or fed information on behalf of the subject, have chosen to publish about the subject in reliable sources. I suggest you look for some sources that meet the criteria in WP:42 while you are waiting for a review.
Your draft also contains some peacock words (such as "biting"), and needs to give some context for what "#werk" means (I have no idea).
Please don't be discouraged at my criticism: like many new editors, you have plunged straight into probably the most difficult task there is on Wikipedia, that of creating a new article; and if, as appears likely, you have a conflict of interest, this is even harder. My standard advice to new editors is to not even try it until they have spent a few months learning how Wikipedia works by improving existing articles. Best way to portray currency inflation[edit]

What's the best way to show currency inflation? Specifically, two shillings and six pence (2s. 6., a half crown) and £30,000 in 1964. Spagooder (talk) 20:50, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    Template:Inflation/UK? DonIago (talk) 21:01, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thank you, but how about for the half crown? Since that's been antiquated for decades. Spagooder (talk) 23:40, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If my calculations are correct, half a crown was 26240pound, so for a half crown in 1960 you could type "a half crown ({{Inflation|UK|0.1833|1960|fmt=eq|cursign=£}})" to get "a half crown (equivalent to £4 in 2021)". Deor (talk) 00:33, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Deor, the half crown (British coin) was 30240, i.e.18pound. TSventon (talk) 00:48, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
OK, so the 0.1833 in the template I gave above should be replaced with 0.125. Deor (talk) 01:00, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
    Also the 0.1833 should have been 0.1083. TSventon (talk) 01:12, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks. Is the following correct? {{Inflation|UK|0.125|1964|fmt=eq|cursign=£}} Spagooder (talk) 02:37, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Spagooder, that looks fine, you could add a decimal place or two, e.g. {{Inflation|UK|0.125|1964|fmt=eq|cursign=£|r=1}}. TSventon (talk) 09:13, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
This was very helpful, thank you. Spagooder (talk) 12:51, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    Protecting a frequently vandalized article?[edit]

What is the best way to get protection for an article that is frequently vandalized by multiple users? Purity test has suffered from unconstructive edits for more than a year, primarily from unregistered users, some of whom have been warned, sometimes repeatedly. It seems addressing the vandals individually will be ineffective - can the article be protected? Thanks. Etoile ✩ (talk) 22:13, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You can post a request at WP:RFPP, but pages are not protected pre-emptively. - FlightTime (open channel) 22:17, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Etoile The current "problem" is that the issues are not "frequently" by RFPP standards. They are unlikely to protect an article that had no disruption this year, disruption generally has to be more "obvious". For the time being, you can watch it, perhaps mention the problems you see somewhere like Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Sexology and sexuality and ask people there to keep an eye on it. RefToolbar ISBN search broken[edit]

RefToolbar's ISBN search function has been broken for me for several months now. Has the issue been documented somewhere? Is there a different tool that should be using? --Paul_012 (talk) 23:05, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Paul 012: It works for me, e.g. on 0-596-51516-2 in Firefox with Vector legacy. Please always give an example when you report a problem. Does it work if you log out? PrimeHunter (talk) 23:45, 6 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks for the response. Indeed, it does seem that the issue lies in the works I've been trying to cite. Your example works fine, but none of the following seem to work on Vector 2022, whether logged in or logged out, on Edge or Firefox, with ISBN-10 or ISBN-13, and with or without hyphens. All of them turn up results when searching directly on WorldCat. ISBN 9811435979, ISBN 1351159224, ISBN 9748987221, ISBN 6163410998, ISBN 616551412X. Wonder if there's a common pattern here? --Paul_012 (talk) 07:31, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Paul 012: Your examples also fail for me. It appears from phab:T336297 that the tool no longer uses WorldCat. phab:T355482#9477525 says: "I think it was known that when we switched our data source for ISBN lookup (T336297 and T336727) that we would lose coverage in certain areas and gain coverage in other areas." PrimeHunter (talk) 12:59, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thanks for the pointers. The discussion under that first Phabricator ticket does provide some explanation. --Paul_012 (talk) 13:17, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    Creating articles without request[edit]

Hi, I have always been used the Article wizard to create articles. However, a user recently wrote on my talk page: "Since you have made at least 10 edits over more than four days, you can now create articles yourself without posting a request". How can I do this? Armenshirazd (talk) 01:04, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Armenshirazd you can search the article title you want to edit, and click the red link that says The page [article title] does not exist. Sungodtemple (talkcontribs) 01:05, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Many thanks! Appreciate your prompt reply. Armenshirazd (talk) 01:08, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Just a quick message to say, whilst you can directly create articles, doing so well is incredibly hard (especially if you are new). You may find it more suitable to still create and publish a draft instead. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 07:32, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Armenshirazd Welcome! Creating a new article from scratch is extremely challenging, and new editors are strongly recommended to spend a few months learning how Wikipedia works, by making improvements to some of our existing six million articles before trying it. When you do decide to have a go at a new article, you are highly encouraged to read WP:Your first article. If you haven't already also check out WP:TUTORIAL; it's a lot of fun! Your question is unclear, but if you are suggesting that Wikipedia should "lock" certain articles against being edited, the answer is that by policy, we do not protect articles unless they are currently being repeatedly vandalised. 1. Add a citation template for reference 15
    2. Add a |title= for reference 16

When is it appropriate to boldly redirect?[edit]

I have found two pages that I'm not sure are notable (Anna Maria of Ostfriesland, Anna of Holstein-Gottorp). These two pages have been marked as unreferenced since 2009. There aren't really any sources about these two women that I can find, and the articles' only content about them are who they married and who their children were. The German articles about them have the same issues. I feel that these pages can be redirected to their house of nobility (House of Hesse), but I don't know if this is the appropriate choice, as perhaps there are German-language sources that talk about them that I cannot read (not knowing German). Jaguarnik (talk) 15:24, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Both articles have fewer than 30 watchers, and no activity on their talk pages. Only one editor has made significant edits to either of them in the last two years (and that editor was subsequently blocked for copyright violations). If you have looked for sources and not found them, I would say, Go ahead and redirect. ColinFine (talk) 16:22, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Jaguarnik: It's usually not a good idea to redirect a person's page to an article in which that person is not mentioned (House of Hesse in these cases); that would be unhelpful to anyone searching for information about the person. I would redirect each to her husband's article, where she is mentioned and information about her parentage is given. Deor (talk) 20:56, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
If you click through to the German version of those articles, you will see that sources are available. If you don't speak German, ask for help at WT:WikiProject Germany. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 21:56, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    Background colour for quoteboxes[edit]

Sorry, minor query. I quite like quoteboxes, and the ones I used in articles used to have an appealing background hue of light blue. Now they all appear with no background shading, and yet they still have the "bgcolor=#c6dbf7" which I assume is the background colour coding. An example is here. Have I missed some policy change on quoteboxes or have I just messed them up somehow? KJP1 (talk) 17:50, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Usage of Images from my Website on Wikipedia[edit]

    Hello,

I've noticed that several images of mine are now displaying on WikiPedia with their watermarks removed.

These images are physical items owned by me, photographed by me and a collective work of logos appearing together.

I consider this collective work to be copyrighted.

How do I go about having them removed?

    Here is one example.

    c:File:Bentsen for President 1976.png

Here is the original that was found on my website.

    https://4president.org//image/1976/lloydbentsen.gif

I did see that they linked to the original page.

This is one out many (I have not counted them all, but still finding them).

    Thank you,

    Mike

    Mikedec4 (talk) 19:34, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Mikedec4: those logos appear to be below the threshold of originality in the United States. To clarify, those are original logos from the campaigns, right? If you just made them up, then they should probably be deleted as fictional. Elli (talk | contribs) 19:36, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Original logos, displayed together and copyrighted as a collective work. The watermarks were removed, so the items were modified. Mikedec4 (talk) 19:43, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Mikedec4. That image is in the public domain. Anyone can use it for any purpose and modify it as they wish without asking for permission from anyone. Cullen328 (talk) 19:45, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Mikedec4 To clarify the above answers, which are correct, the text in the two boxes below the "Licensing" heading, on the page at c:File:Bentsen for President 1976.png, explains why anyone is free to reuse or modify those images. If you want to copyright a work of your own creation it must include some creative component. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 21:51, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Problems occurred when publishing articles into my personal draft[edit]

Hi, I am a student at the University of Edinburgh and I am now in a training session of Wikipedia.

I just finished my translation of the article Isle of Skye from English to Chinese.

When I clicked "publish", there were 2 problems appeared alternatively: One is "Auto-editing filters have detected problematic content in your translation. Filter triggered: New users adding obviously promotional content", the other is "Auto-editing filters have detected problematic content in your translation. Triggered filter: Prevent the inclusion of common words used by vandals".

I have gone over the whole passage, but I could not find where went wrong. :(

    Hoping to hear from you!

Thank you in advance. Eno Jin (talk) 22:29, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Eno Jin: Hi there! If you're translating Isle of Skye from English to Chinese, you should create the draft at the Chinese Wikipedia, not here at the English Wikipedia. My suggestion is to create a draft one section at a time, which should help you narrow down which paragraphs are causing the filters to complain. Then if it's still unclear, you have more information to provide when you ask for help at the Chinese Wikipedia's help desk. Good luck with your draft! GoingBatty (talk) 22:46, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@GoingBatty: That appears to be where they were working, and the filters to which they refer are over there. In any case, Eno Jin, as each language's Wikipedia is a separate project with its own set of rules, your query would be better addressed to the admins at Chinese Wikipedia. --Finngall talk 23:11, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

If this is about a different Wikipedia, then you will need to ask there, as each Wikipedia has its own policies and guidelines on editing. RudolfRed (talk) 01:06, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
(ec)Presumably this is about Muay Thai. That article is semi protected, which is why new accounts such as yours cannot edit it. Please make an edit request on the article's talk page to propose your change. See WP:SEMI Meters (talk) 01:10, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Ppntd: Also, please be sure to provide published, reliable sources to support your proposal on the Talk page (which is at Talk:Muay Thai). Personal knowledge or opinions (one way or the other) should not be the basis for a Wikipedia article.--Gronk Oz (talk) 02:33, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

How to resize a Wikivoyage banner image[edit]

Hi, I'm currently editing the Pittsburg, California Wikivoyage page, however I'm unsure how to crop the banner image I inserted. I'd appreciate any help. Armenshirazd (talk) 05:06, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

You'll have to ask for help with Wikivoyage on Wikivoyage, which is a separate project. 331dot (talk) 09:26, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Armenshirazd: Hi there! It looks like you added the image to Wikimedia Commons at commons:Pittsburg Marina, Pittsburg California.jpg. You could use the commons:Commons:CropTool to crop the image within Commons. Happy editing! GoingBatty (talk) 15:36, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    Publishing pages[edit]

Hi, i want to publish my page in sandbox but i couldn't see "submit your draft for review" or publish buttons. Wikkispecialist (talk) 07:15, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    See WP:DRAFT. A sandbox version isn't a draft article.--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 08:26, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
    I have added {{userspace draft}}. Victor Schmidt mobil (talk) 08:47, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Those buttons are provided if you create a draft via the Article Wizard instead of in your sandbox. 331dot (talk) 09:25, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    Troubles with publishing English translation[edit]

Hello, I would like to ask for an advice: I would like to publish either an article in English or an English translation of a page/article that I have already published in Slovak. But when I try to create a new article in English, it says I don't have enough credible sources (although they are the same ones that were sufficient for the article in Slovak, and there are no other sources available for the article). And when I try to create an English "translation" of the article, it says that I am not an experienced editor and thus cannot publish such a translation. Could you please give me an advice on how I can publish the article in English or its English translation? I will be very grateful for any advice. Have a nice day. Edu.2022.wiki (talk) 12:03, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

We don't have the same requirements for sourcing that other Wikipedias do, and we require an article to be on a subject that meets our notability guidelines. Lee Vilenski (talkcontribs) 12:06, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
To add to what my esteemed colleague above wrote: articles translated from other languages are expected to meet English Wikipedia's notability guidelines; simply having an article on another Wikipedia project does not establish notability by itself. Lectonar (talk) 12:34, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Edu.2022.wiki: Do you refer to Draft:Periodic Evaluation of Research, Development, Artistic and Other Creative Activities? There are entire sections in that article (e.g. "The importance of evaluation", "Inspiration") with no sources. If you suspect another editor is schizophrenic, what should you do?[edit]

If you think another user is showing clear signs of being, say, schizophrenic, and also seems not to suspect this about himself or herself, what should you do? Specifically, should you inform someone about it, or even yourself inform the person about your belief that the person is schizophrenic? Polar Apposite (talk) 16:33, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Absolutely nothing...we do NOT offer medical help on Wikipedia please concentrate on editing. Theroadislong (talk) 17:39, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Polar Apposite: I'm a schizophrenic editor. Please do not conflate schizophrenic with dumb or inane. John Forbes Nash Jr. was a schizophrenic and he won the Nobel prize. Some biographers speculate that Isaac Newton was a paranoid schizophrenic. I don't know if Nikola Tesla was a schizophrenic, but he was certainly insane.
I'm also a member of Mensa International (Dutch branch) and I have graduated twice from research universities. tgeorgescu (talk) 19:13, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Should the names of the perpetrators in articles about a murder be made bold?[edit]

Some pages like Murder of James Bulger render the names of the murderers in bold. Other articles do not, making just the victim's name bold. Which practice is better? Nullh1ve (talk) 18:50, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Nullh1ve: If there is a redirect from the perpetrator's name to the article, then the name should be bold. This now shifts your question to whether or not there should be a redirect. More or less: if there is a reason for the redirect (e.g. enough press coverage but not enough for an actual article), add it. -Arch dude (talk) 19:18, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    BUSINESS NAME CHANGE[edit]

HELLO, OUR COMPANY 'THE BALLPARK OF THE PALM BEACHES' HAS RECENTLY GONE THROUGH A NAME CHANGE, OUR NEW NAME IS 'CACTI PARK OF THE PALM BEACHES'. HOW CAN I GET THIS CHANGED? CACTIPARKPB (talk) 20:21, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@CACTIPARKPB: Hi there! Since you have a conflict of interest, you should not be changing the article directly. Instead, you may post an edit request on the article's talk page, Talk:The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, with a reliable published source. You may also use the Wikipedia:Edit request wizard if you like. (When you post the request, please don't SHOUT at the volunteers here.) Thanks! Full replacements[edit]

     – Added section header. GoingBatty (talk) 20:30, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

Are requests to fully replace an existing article ever okayed? Augnablik (talk) 20:26, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@Augnablik: if necessary, yes. See Wikipedia:Blow it up and start over. Discuss this in the article's talk page, and if a consensus develops, then do it. This is generally a last resort. -Arch dude (talk) 20:35, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thank you, Arch dude. Interesting title of that information. Blowing up an existing article and starting over is exactly what I'd like to do, if at all possible. I wonder if there are some examples of when that was agreed to and on what basis. Augnablik (talk) 03:51, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
@Augnablik: See WP:TNT for when this might be possible. It is usually better to improve the article in small chunks rather than change the whole thing in one go. The best place to start is by starting a discussion on the article's talk page. RudolfRed (talk) 20:37, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
Thank you, RudolfRed. I knew the general advice was to start small in a discussion somewhere — apparently on the article's talk page, from what you mentioned. But in the case of the article which I'd like to replace because of the sheer number of both updates and other modifications I believe are required, I do believe there's reason to apply the TNT alluded to in the title of the information you suggested that I read.
Before coming to know of the TNT article and another one that Arch dude suggested, I thought it just seemed so incredible that the needed changed would have to move at a snail's pace.
I hope I can make the case for applying TNT successfully, as it would save a lot of time for both me and the Wiki editors who'd otherwise have to look over each change one by one — let alone to make the new information quickly available to many people interested in the person who's the subject of the article and his many publications. Template for article/section comprehensibility[edit]

I'm curious if there's a template which can be added to articles or sections thereof which are incomprehensible (extremely poor grammar, missing words, etc.). Kr0ndstat (talk) 21:10, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    @Kr0ndstat: {{Confusing}} might be what you're looking for. There is also a list at Wikipedia:Template_index/Cleanup RudolfRed (talk) 21:14, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
    {{Confusing}} works perfectly. Thanks! Kr0ndstat (talk) 21:18, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

    General Wikipedia changes[edit]

    Hi,

I noticed earlier today that a few things look different on the Wikipedia site.

For instance, my watchlist. Article and talk page titles used to be blue (and they show that way for a second, but then it changes to black). In addition, the "last updated" note no longer shows on the watchlist itself; I have to go to the page for it to show.

Lastly, I have noticed that when viewing an article some wikilinks no longer render in blue; they are all black, making it more difficult to tell article text from wikilinks.

Is there any way to change the settings back?

Thanks for any help, David O. Johnson (talk) 02:28, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@David O. Johnson: The black link problem on mobile is a bug that the developers are working on. RudolfRed (talk) 02:36, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply[reply]
